Tear Dust

On summer’s night kiss
where lofty tones
elevate sunken moods
as sound waves carry the promise of freedom

And underneath the flashing lights
and violent convulsions of bodies
moving in synchronicity,
we slowly find out who we are:
Children
All lost

Found

Hurt

Scarred
Loved
Healed
Caught in the gray spaces of life
where colors and labels cease to exist,
where inhibitions run free in city streets, backyard alleys,
and open fields where vapors are exhaled,
liquid courage swallowed greedily,
as souls undergo metamorphosis.
